Especially for those of us who are 

1. very pedantic (paraphrasing Bertrand Russell 
slightly, a pedant is a person who prefers 
to be correct) 

and 

2. cursed with synesthetic responses, so that
anything presented ALL IN CAPITALS is read 
as if someone were SHOUTING, 

please use the correct form of the name, i.e. 

Stata 

not 

STATA.

even though citing that as authority has, in my 
case, a certain circularity. Better, see the 
manuals and the documentation, passim.
