Call for presentations

The 18th Italian Stata Conference will take place on 5–6 October 2023 at the Centro Studi CISL.

The conference continues to offer participants an excellent opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange through the presentation both of new community-contributed commands and of applied work developed in Stata. The first day of the conference will open with an invited speaker followed by a series of user and StataCorp sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to meet researchers from different disciplinary areas, discover new applications of Stata, and interact directly with developers from StataCorp.

The second day of the conference will be dedicated to a Stata workshop, details of which will be published in 2023.

Presentation guidelines

The scientific committee is especially interested in presentations about community-contributed commands focused on the following:

  • New estimation methods.
  • Data visualization.
  • The connectivity of Stata to external applications such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Advanced automation of user workflows.
  • Reporting tools for the creation of dynamic dashboards or automatic Internet publishing.

For examples of past presentations, view the proceedings page.

Submitting your presentation

If you are interested in presenting, submit your abstract to the scientific committee. Please include a short, informative title and indicate whether you wish to give

  • a 25-minute talk (followed by a 10-minute discussion) or
