Stata runs the old version of graph whenever graph is invoked under version control (see version) or when you use the graph7 or gr7 command.

Graph one-way scatterplots (graph7, oneway command)

{graph7 | gr7} [varlist] [weight] [if exp] [in range], oneway [common_options jitter(#)]

common_options See help ------------------------------------------------------ title and axes options gr7axes symbol and line options gr7sym color and shading options gr7color saving, printing, & multiple image options gr7other ------------------------------------------------------

by is allowed; see by.

Description

graph7 ... , oneway ... specifies a one-way scatterplot and may be combined with box (see gr7box). For an introduction to graph7, see graph7.

Options unique to oneway

jitter(#) turns on # randomly selected points along the vertical line at the location of the data rather than display the entire line.

Examples

. graph7 x, oneway (graphs a one-way scatterplot of x)

. graph7 x y, oneway (graphs one-way scatterplots of x and y)

. graph7 tempjuly, by(region) oneway (using by() option)

. graph7 tempjuly, by(region) oneway box (combined with box graph)
