In the latest update to the Windows version of Stata 8, you can move the
Review and Variables windows inside or outside the main Stata window by
toggling the floating option under your Windowing preferences. To access
these options, click Prefs and General Preferences, and then
select the Windowing tab. These options allow you to restore the
Stata 7 behavior of the Review and Variables windows.
The following features have also been added in the recent updates to Stata
8 for Windows:
- The key combination of Ctrl + 9 will hide or show the Review and
Variables windows. If the Review and Variables windows are obstructing
some other window, you can hide them with Ctrl + 9. To bring them back,
use Ctrl + 9 again, which will toggle them on.
- You can drag the main Stata window and have the floating Review and
Variables windows move with the main window by holding the Ctrl key.
