Stata 6: How can I download and install the StataQuest menu additions?

To download and install the StataQuest menu additions to Stata, enter these commands in Stata:

    . net cd http://www.stata.com

    . net cd quest

    . net install quest1

    . net install quest2

    . net install quest3

Here is the output from entering these commands:

    StataQuest provides a pull-down menu system for accessing the basic features
    of Stata.  StataQuest is especially popular with students and student labs.

    You can add the StataQuest features to your copy of Stata by installing the
    three packages below.  They will not interfere with Stata's normal operation.

    When you want to use Stata in StataQuest mode, type quest on.
    When you want to stop using StataQuest mode, type quest off.

    PACKAGES you could -net describe-:
        quest1            StataQuest additions (part 1 of 3)
        quest2            StataQuest additions (part 2 of 3)
        quest3            StataQuest additions (part 3 of 3)
