Will Stata 9 for Mac run on Intel Macs?

Title   Will Stata 9 for Mac run on Intel Macs?

Yes.

Stata 9 works best on an Intel Mac running an OS version of 10.2 to 10.5. Apple deprecated several of their 32-bit libraries in OS 10.6, which are used by 32-bit Stata 9. This change makes Stata 9 unstable on a Mac running OS X 10.6 or higher.

On a Mac running OS X 10.6 or higher, we recommend installing a 64-bit version of Stata for Mac, which was first released with Stata 10.
