Stata 12 and Stata 11 were tested on Lion, Snow Leopard, and Leopard, and we found no problems installing and running Stata.

However, gesture support in Stata is not available when running on Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) because three-finger gestures have been taken over at a system level by Lion. Three-finger gesture support in Stata is only supported on Macs running Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).

There are 64-bit versions of Stata 12 and Stata 11 that will run natively on 64-bit Intel Macs running Leopard or Snow Leopard. To determine if your Mac is compatible with 64-bit Stata for Mac, see stata.com/support/faqs/windows/64-bit-compliance/#mac.
