Measures of inequality [sg30: STB-23] ---------------------- ^atkinson^ varname [^if^ exp] [^in^ range] [fweights] [^,^ ^e^psilon^(^#[^,^#[^,^...]]^)^ ] -- or -- ^inequal^ varname [^if^ exp] [^in^ range] [fweights] -- or -- ^lorenz^ varname [^if^ exp] [^in^ range] [fweights] [^,^ ^of^fset graph-options ] -- or -- ^relsgini^ varname [^if^ exp] [^in^ range] [fweights] [^,^ ^d^elta^(^#[^,^#[^,^...]]^)^ ] These four ado-files provide a variety of measures of inequality. ^atkinson^ computes the Atkinson inequality index using the inequality aversion para- meter(s) specified in the parameter list. ^inequal^ displays the following measures: relative mean deviation, coefficient of variation, standard deviation of logs, Gini index, Mehran index, Piesch index, Kakwani index, Theil entropy index, and mean log deviation. ^lorenz^ displays a Lorenz curve. ^relsgini^ computes the Donaldson-Weymark relative S-Gini using the distributional sensitivity parameters specified in the parameter list. Options ------- ^d^elta^()^ specifies the distributional sensitivity parameters used in computing the relative S-Gini. ^e^psilon^()^ specifies the inequality aversion parameters used in computing Atkinson inequality index. ^of^fset specifies the graph options "noaxis xline(0,1) yline(0,1)".
