Bhattacharya's method for estimating Gaussian components        (STB-18: sg23)

         ^bhatmesd^ freqvar diflovar midpoivar [in range]

^bhatmesd^ uses Bhattacharya's method to estimate the parameters of the
dominant Gaussian component in the specified range.  freqvar contains the
frequencies, diflovar contains the logarithmic differences of successive
frequencies, and midpoivar contains the midpoints of the class intervals.
^bhatmesd^ also displays a graphical comparison of the observed frequencies
and the estimated Gaussian component.  Type ^help bhatado^ for information on
other ado-files used in applying Bhattacharya's method.
