Use standard in1 installation instructions.
From inside Stata, on-line help is available.  Type "help spline".

The data sets and the log file discussed in the STB insert can be found in
the .\dta (./dta, Unix) subdirectory.  These may be copied to any working
directory.

This program also uses centile (STB-8: sg7).  The materials from that 
insert are included in this directory, so even if you did not previously 
install centile, you now have it.  Type "help centile".
