Thanks to Kit Baum, a new version of -PIAACTOOLS- and a new package -PISATOOLS- are available on SSC. Both packages facilitate analysis of the PIAAC/PISA data using methodology developed by the OECD. They allow calculating statistics and running regression models with PIAAC or PISA data that take into account complex survey design and the plausible values method. Results are saved in HTML files that can be further edited in a spreadsheet software. Results are also saved in Stata matrices. Type -ssc describe piaactools- or -ssc describe pisatools- to get more details. The new version of PIAACTOOLS fixes small bugs and now properly reports proficiency levels.

Best regards,

Maciej
