Dear statalist,

In my research, the endogenous regressor is a count-data variable. I know that if the endogenous regressor is a continuous variable, 2sls, hmm or liml can be used. If the endogenous regressor is a binary variable, the treatment-effects model or Heckman selection model can be used. However, my endogenous regressor is a count-data variable. Can I still use the 2SLS model? Cheers.

Best wishes,

Xiaofei Xing
