Dear members,

I am new to statalist and here is a modified version what I posted earlier. I hope to get some response, and if the question is confusing or basic please let me know. 

I am trying to estimate a nested logit model from a single observation data using STATA 12 where: 
Dependent variable (choice variable): hivstatus, binary hiv status (case/control) 
Independent variables: demographic characteristics and behavioral risk factors
I'd like to get gender specific estimates for certain risk behaviors. 
Here is an example: 
sexual orientation (sexorientlife) with three categories: 1=Heterosexual, 2=homosexual and 3=bisexual
