Hi
I need to calculate asset index in stata.
I am following these steps (vyas & Kumaranayake,2006)
1. I have used Principal component analysis to generate factors scores (component 1)
2. Using factor scores as weights I intend to create a dependent score for each household (mean = 0 & SD =1)
I am not sure as to how to conduct the second step in stata. could anyone let me know.
