ALthough I have only once used a piechart in a publication, I find Stata's command confusing and, well, not very Stata-like. The use of -over- is unintuitive. It tends to put off novices, so I end up being evasive when asked about it.
A new version with a new name that quietly replaced the old one and had a command akin to Nick Cox's -pieplot- would be good.
