Stata 12's sem command is very promising. Given Stata's strength with categorical and count variables, I would assume these are going to be added for 13--At least I hope so. In additon to this, I would like to see latent class analysis and mixture models added. I'm sure these would be complicated additions but combined with adding categorical and count outcome variables, this would make Stata's sem command highly competitive with specialized programs like Mplus.
