Thanks as always to the energetic and efficient Kit Baum, a new
package -sparkline- has been added to SSC.

Stata 9.2 up is required, except that any Stata 9.2 users should
please note my personal policy on help files, as spelled out here:

http://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2012-08/msg00920.html
http://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2012-08/msg00921.html

-sparkline- graphs sparkline-type plots for one or more y variables
against a single x variable. Typically, plots for different y
variables or for different subsets of
one y variable are stacked vertically into one image. Commonly, but
not necessarily, such plots are multiple time series, so that the x
variable is a time variable.

-sparkline- takes its name from the discussion in E.R. Tufte's 2006
book Beautiful evidence. Graphics Press, Cheshire, CT, pp.44-63, but
the help file contains various comments on what -sparkline- does and
doesn't do.

To describe or install if interested, please use -ssc- as usual.

Nick
