If you are asking about the correct syntax to use, please read the
help file. If you want to know how -sieve()- (part of -egenmore-
package, Cox et al., SSC) works inside, type in Stata -viewsource
_gsieve.ado-.

Please also read the FAQ with a special focus on paragraph 3.3
(http://www.stata.com/support/faqs/resources/statalist-faq/#stata) and
rewrite your question for better answers.
