Analyzing Health and Healthcare Inequalities Methods Course, 25-29
October, 2012, Beijing, China

The "Analyzing Health and Healthcare Inequalities Methods Course" is a
5-day course to train technical experts, researchers and students how
to analyze health equity using household survey data. It will provide
participants with an overview of the relevant theory and recent
research in the field, explanation of the purpose and use of key
equity measures, and concrete exercises and hands-on tutorials using
standard methods, so that participants develop expertise in the
quantitative techniques for health equity analysis, including
production of key equity indicators.

The intention of this course is to build capacity in Asia-Pacific
countries to analyze equity issues. The course is intended for policy
analysts, technical experts and junior and mid-level researchers and
students in government agencies, universities, research institutes and
civil society organizations, who wish to acquire the skills to analyze
health equity using household survey data.

Course participants should have basic familiarity with Stata, as
demonstrated by completion of the Stata 101 online course, or
equivalent level of competency.
