How do I save the random effects estimates after using xtmixed into a
file that I can access and then compute the intraclass correlation
coeffient? I am developing three level random intercept models -
xtmixed oelosdiff || facility: || attending_phy_id: if
rptggroupid==13047, mle cov(un) variance - that produces the following
random effects table:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  Random-effects Parameters  |   Estimate   Std. Err.     [95% Conf. Interval]

-----------------------------+------------------------------------------------

facility: Identity           |

                  var(_cons) |   .0213868   .0241971      .0023286    .1964259

-----------------------------+------------------------------------------------

attending_~d: Identity       |

                  var(_cons) |   .1246193   .0615895      .0473047    .3282969

-----------------------------+------------------------------------------------

               var(Residual) |   3.575787   .1314181       3.32727    3.842865

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks much for the advice!

Regards,

Bob Sutter
