Thanks to Kit Baum an update of the margdistfit package is now
available from SSC. The -margdistfit- package graphically compares the
distribution of the dependent variable of a -regress- or -betafit-
(available from SSC) model with the marginal distribution implied by
the model. Examples can be found here:

The update includes some improvements in the helpfile and the
description that were suggested publicly and privately by Garry
Anderson, Ronan Conroy, Nick Cox and Austin Nichols, and I corrected
the problem pointed out by David Ashcraft so that -margdistfit- now
works as advertised in Stata >= 10.1. Many thanks to all those who
made suggestions or pointed out problems. It also includes an
improvement in the algorithm for approximating the cumulative
distribution function such that the approximate curve is now
guaranteed to be monotonically increasing.

To install the -margdistfit- package type in Stata -ssc install
margdistfit-, to update the package (if you have already installed the
older version) type in Stata -ssc install margdistfit, replace- or
-adoupdate, update-.
