Thanks to Kit Baum, -obsdiff- is now available from the SSC.  -obsdiff- requires Stata 9.2 and can be installed with the command:

ssc install obsdiff

-obsdiff-  lists the differences among observations/records/rows in a varlist.  This program is particularly useful for data where observations are near duplicates and you need to identify which variables that have different values across selected rows.
