I receive the message "Maximum number of iterations exceeded." when using
nlcom.

I found that this has been previously discussed
(http://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2009-03/msg01244.html) and it is a
problem of nlcom evaluating very small numbers. This is indeed the case
since when I multiply the expression by 10, the error message no longer
appears.
However, I'd like to use nlcom in a background generic program and this
trick is frustrating to use. Has anyone else found another solution for
tricking nlcom?

Best,
Andreas Drichoutis
