Greetings

Can you try and post the results again showing the Stata 10 and Stata 11 results (showing both the results of the "regress" command and the "estat vif" commands? Hopefully the output will not wrap as it did before.

Thanks,

Michael N. Mitchell

Here is my command. I used the cluster option.

regress unfccc logpopsize logimfgdppc growthrateinterpolate freedom engonumber iengobranch proportion ruralpopulation forestarea eumember Industryinterpolate igonumber wtreatynorwmlag wlanlag wrellag wgnipclag wdistance year1994 year1995 year1996 year1997 year1998 year1999 year2000 year2004 if _st==1, cluster(id)
estat vif

My coauthor and I use the same dataset and same do.file in our different PC.Then it comes out that only the vif value are different.

I concur with Richard on both counts. The output got wrapped and garbled, but even so it
looks like the models are not the same in the Stata 10 and Stata 11 models.

Unfortunately, the output is extremely hard to read, at least on my machine. Are you sure
the models are identical? At a minimum, the variables seem to be getting listed in a
different order, which makes me wonder if the commands are actually the same.

It appears you are using the cluster option on the -regress- command, and Michael was not,
so maybe that has something to do with the discrepancies.

Showing the actual code might be helpful.
