you have paired data and should do a paired t-test, first calculating 
the difference (diff = var2 - var1) and then checking for non-normality of the new variable.
If the difference is Normal, a t-test is valid. 
More typically, if the distribution if close to Normal, 
a t-test is acceptable, and p-values and confidence intervals 
can be used.

Subject: st: mean comparison

I have data for  two variables for one sample, want to compare means
of them, i can use t test or non-parametric test, but the problem is
that my one variable is normally distributed and other is not, hence
which test I should use,
