Use -sum()- with -generate- to get the expected behavior.

Try

*************
which _gsum
view "`r(fn)'"
*************

and you get the solution of the riddle.

Betreff: st: sum() with egenerate

Hello everybody,

I used the sum() function in combination with egen command and it behaved
like the total() function, hence not a running sum as I expected.
Can anyone confirm this or is it an old topic?

Thanks,
Ulrich
