Which version of Stata do you have, though? 11.0 or something earlier? In 11.0, the whole issue is not a problem, really. Type -about- to find your version.

Subject: st: Stata 32 bit or 64 bit?

Dear all,

I am about to buy a new desktop and was advised to by a 64-bit processor.
My version of stata is for a 32-bit processor.

Is there anyway to update it so that I can run on my new pc?

Best,

Mafalda
