This will still display the calls to -reg price mpg-, etc., as well as the output that -regress- displays. If I understand correctly, the original poster wanted to suppress display of calls to commands without suppressing the output from the commands.

But why should anyone care about the results window, as it is ephemeral? Put the output in a logfile, and you can turn logging on and off, which will result in only the stuff you want going to the logfile. The rest will also be displayed in the results window.

sysuse auto, clear
log using someoutput, replace
desc
qui log off
list price mpg
qui log on
reg price mpg
reg price i.rep78
qui log off
g lprice = log(price)
l price lprice
qui log on
reg lprice mpg i.rep78
log close
