In addition to what everyone else said, I should note that you may want
to look to see if -xtmixed- (or some other Stata procedure) already does
what you want. If you are assuming that your DV is Gaussian and your
mixing distribution is also Gaussian, you may not get any real benefit
from using -gllamm-. The Rabe-Hesketh and Skrondal book already cited
should be helpful in determining that.
