This is continuing an offtopic segue in this thread, but the real
challenge with in-graph legend placement is "knowing" where a blank
area is automatically - one can always chose the clock-position by
inspection, but this is impractical if doing large numbers of graphs.
This is an area in which I have had limited success (lacking the
appropriate rocket scientist credentials, perhaps) .
