The easiest way is to use -adjust- :

*--------------- begin example -------------------
sysuse auto, clear
mkspline sp 2 = weight
reg mpg sp* rep78 foreign
adjust rep78 foreign = 0, by(weight) ci replace
twoway rarea lb ub weight || ///
       line xb weight, legend(off)
