Dear Statalisters,

In a study we want to categorize causes of death coded with ICD-9 and ICD-10 into larger groups as defined by WHO in their Global Burden of Disease project (see for example http://www.who.int/healthinfo/bod/en/index.html). The correspondence between ICD-9/10 and GBD is documented here: http://www.dcp2.org/pubs/GBD/3/Table/3.A2 . Now in principle I could just go about coding the translation directly, but I wondered if another industrious statalister had already developed code to do the job? I have tried searching both inside and outside of Stata, but to no avail.

Thanks for any help you may provide.

Regards,

Henrik
