Duties And Responsibilities  	
As a key member of a small but growing research center, interprets
research protocols and creates programs and algorithms in conjunction
with the principal investigators of the center. Works closely with PIs
to design, script and test surveys, and execute pre- and
post-processing of data. Documents data sets as they become ready for
analysis and creates various programs and data-tracking systems to
maintain data sets. Develops and suggests methods which may improve
the way a survey is fielded and/or the survey-taking experience for
respondents. Recommends best options for reporting results. Makes
checks on data completion, consistency, and develops new variables to
estimate economic models and hypothesis testing. Meets with all
related research IT support members on a regular basis. This is a two
year term position from date of hire with the strong possibility of
continuation depending on renewed grant/research funding.

Required Education, Experience and Skills 	
Basic req. B.A.; M.A. in quantitative discipline preferred; min. of 3
yrs. related exp.; strong statistical programming skills (Stata
preferred) and experience with large data sets req.; prior exp. or
training in survey research required; Additional req.: strong
verbal/written communication skills; demonstrated ability to meet
goals and project deadlines; ability to work collaboratively within a
multi-disciplinary research group.

Additional Information 	
The Project for Policy Innovation in Education "serves as a focal
point for education policy research across Harvard University and will
work to develop a campus-wide effort in education policy research."
