.

After much Googling (I seem to have forgotten what libraries are for), I found a couple articles that answered my question. They were:

http://www.statisticshell.com/meta.pdf

and

http://www.statisticshell.com/metad.pdf

The author seems to be a character!

From my beginning readings of meta-analysis, and looking at the help files for the Stata command metan (updated in SJ 8-1), it seems I need both effect estimate and error estimate from each study. Can I do meta-analysis if I only have Cohen's d statistics from each study?
