Dear Statalisters,

I want to build an additive weighted index from 3
indicators from a survey (I have in total 2,111
observations and 61 variables).

The form for the index can be:
 a * Indicator I + b * Indicator II + c * Indicator
III

a= 1/4
b=1/4
c=1/2

Does anyone have an idea how this would work with
Stata?

Note:
(Each indicator from the 3 which I would like to use
has 4 values: 1- totally agree, 2 -I rather agree,
3-I rather disagree, 4- I totally disagree)

Thank you very much in advance for your help,
Andreia
