Stat/Transfer has supported both RLE and Binary compression in SAS files
since our version eight.  Stat/Transfer will also read most "encrypted" SAS
files.

P.S. Those who are using a version of Stat/Transfer that is not current
(less than version nine), would do well to check our website to find out
what has been improved.
