Thanks to Kit Baum, a new package -rsource- is now available for
download from SSC. This should be done using the -ssc- command in Stata.

The -rsource- package is described as below on my website. By typing

rsource using ratz1.R

the user can run the R program -ratz1.R- from within Stata, and the
output will be echoed to the Stata log and/or Results window.

I would welcome any feedback about this command, especially from users
of non-Microsoft operating environments. -rsource- is intended to run
under all available operating environments, but I have only been able to
test it under my Windows/XP system. In the meantime, I would like to
thank Kit Baum for demonstrating that it can work under his Mac OS X
environment.

Best wishes

Roger

TITLE
rsource: Run R from inside Stata using an R source file

DESCRIPTION/AUTHOR(S)
The program rsource runs the Rterm command of R from inside Stata,
using an R source file, if R is installed on the user's system.
The output and/or the source file can be listed to the Stata log
file
and/or to the Stata Results window in an interactive Stata
session.
If the R directory on the user's system is not on the user's
default
path, then the user must set the global macro Rterm_path to
contain
the path for the Rterm command, possibly in the profile.do file
      (see on-line help for details).
