st: Dropping outliers

Dear all,
how do i  remove the top and bottom 1% tails of the wage distribution  
to remove outliers?

i use "sum wage, detail" to get the 1% and 99% values but how do i 
remove the corresponding observations in the original data?

i thank you for any answers/suggestions.
