Nuno ([email protected]) asked whether it is possible to run Stata/MP
on a single core machine, and Hua Peng and I both replied "yes". There
is one more thing Nuno may want to know.

I am guessing that Nuno asked this question because he has a dual core
(or multicore) machine on which he wants to run Stata/MP, but he perhaps
also has a home laptop or some other computer with only a single core.
A Stata license can always be used to run "lesser" flavors of Stata,
so if Nuno gets a license for Stata/MP, he can, if he wishes, install
Stata/SE (or Stata/IC or Small Stata) and just use his Stata/MP
license with it.
