Thanks to Kit Baum, an update to the -estout- package is available
from the SSC Archive. -estout- makes regression tables. To install the
update type

. ssc install estout, replace

or use the -adoupdate- command.

Two of the package's commands have been renamed:

o -esta- is now called -esttab-

o -esto- is now called -eststo-

Unfortunately, the old names were not chosen well. I am very sorry
that I had to do these name changes.

Some further changes:

o -esttab- now prints lines between equations (unless
  -noeqlines- is specigied).

o -estout- has a new -wrap- option to wrap long variable labels.

o -estout-'s -stats()- option has a new -layout()- suboption.
-estout- prins the models' summary statistics in separate
rows beneath one another in the table footer. The new
-layout()- suboption may be used to change this. Statistics
may be placed beside one another and multiple statistics
may be included in a single table cell. Example:

  . estout, stats(chi2 df_m N, layout(@(@) @)) style(smcl)

  -------------------------

                          b
  -------------------------
  mpg -.1685869
  weight -.0039067
  _cons 13.70837
  -------------------------
  chi2(df_m) 35.71611(2)
  N 74
  -------------------------
