Dear Stata users

I'm new to Stata (version 8) and have been using the menu system mostly - I
am trying to create generalized linear models for binary data. How do you
tell Stata which are random effects (like individual people or samples,
rather than fixed effects)? Can you nest them inside other variables? Also
how do you ask it to test interactions between two or more variables?

Thank you for any help you can give,
Charlotte
