I'm outputting Stata results to ASCII files in order to plot using Gnuplot. In Gnuplot data blocks are separated by blank lines. However, although I write:

set eolchar unix

in the beginning of my do-file (which is necessary to make the file readable to Gnuplot at all), blank lines aren't recognised. If I subsequently delete the blank lines in e.g. vi and the insert a blank line everything works...

Does anyone know what's 'wrong' with the eolchar setting?

Regards,
Steffen
