Dear all,

I am running a random effects generalized ordered probit model using REGOPROB and the program stopped:
......
Fitting constant-only model:

Iteration 0:   log likelihood = -18923.984
Iteration 1: log likelihood = -16032.199 (not concave)
Iteration 2:   log likelihood = -15313.125
Iteration 3:   log likelihood = -14986.705
no observations
r(2000);

end of do-file
r(2000);
.....

My data have three years and about 17000 observations. The file runs fine when GOLOGIT2 is used. It is not a balanced panel, but I highly suspect if this is the problem since I have run another model using about the same data set (but with 8 years and 27000 observations).

Any ideas why this could happen and how this could be fixed would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Best,

Carol
