Do the issues mentioned in relation to this update have any implications for the use of -estout1-? Thanks.

Louis

Thanks to Kit Baum, an update to the -estout- package
is available from SSC.

A few weeks ago, an -estout- update was published where
estout's defaults files were renamed from *.def to
*.style. The reason for this change was to simplify
maintenance of the -estout- package on SSC. It turned
out that StataCorp did not like this change at all.
Therefore, -estout- defaults files now use the .def suffix
again. Furthermore, the standard styles (fixed, tab, tex,
html) are now defined internally in estout.ado and
defaults files are only used for user additions.
