Actually, my question also pertains to whether Stata's xtfrontier
command can compute both technical efficiency, and parameters of
exogenous variables which may influence the efficiency of the firm
(firm
specific factors - or out of ignorance firm dummies).  This would be
equivalent to the Battesse and Coelli (1995) model specification for
use
with panel data.

for example, y = f(x1, x2 x3, u)
where u = f(z1, z2, z3)
