I am using a pannel data. I want to know the difference between xtreg and xtgls. I have used xtreg for fixed effect and random effect models. due to the problem of heteroscadisticity i think gls is a better estimator. I want to know whether 'xtreg' command uses gls method for its estimation for fixed and random effect.
