When you paste into a Word document, what is the format of your graph?
When I create graphs, I save the file as an emf. I then insert a
picture (from the Insert-Picture-From File) in MS Word. I have not has
any problems using this process.

I guess you refer to MS Word here.
It is much better to get the graph correct in
Stata rather than rely on making fixes in any Microsoft product.
