Apple Computer today has just announced the availability of it's new
Intel-based Macintosh computers, MacBook and iMac, with the iMac shipping
today.

Simultaneously, we would like to announce the availability of Stata for Intel
Macintosh: Small, Intercooled, and SE. There is no extra cost for Stata for
Intel Macintosh.

Existing users will be able to obtain Stata for Intel Macintosh in the next
executable update, available Friday, Jan 20, 2006. Install your existing
Stata for Macintosh -- it will run automatically in emulation mode -- and then
-update all-. The updated application is a "universal binary", meaning it is
made to run at peak performance on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macintosh
computers.
