hello everybody,

i want to conduct life table analysis for a patency rate (how long a stent of a patient remains patent). The end point is obstruction (instead of death at sulvival). So i have the patency(days) the "failure"(obstruction), while the lost to follow up patients are these which die in a specific interval.
for example if i want to produce a life table for the first 30 days:
"patency" "obstruction" "survival" "lost to follow up"
    28          1 (yes)          32              0
    15          0 (no)           15              1
    17 0 33 0--and not 1 because even his patency is 17 days he is still alive.
How can i produce a life table where the "lost to follow up" are defined not
of timevar=patency, but of survival<=patency?

THANKS A LOT!
