Dear Jeff, 

I hope you will make -nrinverter- available as a regular 
Stata package. Or how about making the package available 
under the title "Newton-Raphson Random Variate Generator" 
and including an ado similar to the enclosed -nrrvg.ado-? 
I think, 

 . nrrvg, g(x) f(fx) df(dfx) n(#)

is how most people would want to use your inverter. 
(maybe choose a better name than -nrrvg-)
